World Mobile, a blockchain and sharing economy–driven telecom provider, has announced the availability of its mobile app to the general public via the Google Play Store, following a successful Community Beta. World Mobile app is available for download in Tanzania, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia via the Google Play Store. In order to reach a wider audience, the company is currently working on an iOS version of the app.
Zanzibar was the launchpad for the World Mobile app, with the aim of improving the island’s connectivity infrastructure and giving users a more streamlined method of purchasing data bundles. The World Mobile app is available to the public in Tanzania, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia, with future expansion into a broader range of markets to European, Asian, African, and South American markets.

World Mobile Wallet: The app supports the storage of tokens minted on the Cardano blockchain. The wallet is a single-address, non-custodial, lightweight wallet. Users can store and manage their non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and Cardano native tokens (CNTs), such as World Mobile Tokens (WMTs) safely and efficiently on this platform.
