In old continent today investors await the UK retail sales data, to be released at 08:30GMT. The ECB Economic Bulletin will be released at 09:00GMT while the Eurozone Consumer Confidence will be released at 14:00GMT
In the American trading session the weekly Jobless Claims, the Philly Fed Manufacturing Index and Q1 Current Account will be released at 12:30GMT. In Canada will be released the ADP Employment Change figures.
The New Zealand Gross Domestic Product, year on year, came in at 2.5%, better than analyst’s forecasts of 2.4% in first quarter 2019.
In Central Bank news we await the Bank of Indonesia interest rate decision.
Bank of England expected to leave its bank rate at 0.75% at 11:00GMT. The Bank Of England Governor Carney will deliver a speech at 20:00GMT.
Norges Bank policy meeting also is expected today with economists forecasting a 25 basis point interest rate hike.
Earlier today the Bank of Japan monetary committee left the interest rates unchanged as widely expected.
