- Summary:
- Lisk is looking to expand its ecosystem and will fund projects to the tune of up to $270K per project, depending on the level of development.
Lisk, an open-source Web3 application platform, has established a new accelerator program, with an aim to expand its ecosystem. By providing incentives for building up Lisk’s technology stack, the accelerator program will promote growth in web3 innovation. The selected projects will receive support in the form of mentorship, funding, networking, and marketing.
The Lisk Javascript SDK simplifies the creation of custom sidechains and web3 apps that are compatible with the Lisk blockchain. Startups with a multi-year plan to incorporate web3 tech fall within the scope of the Lisk Accelerator Program. Lisk is especially interested in supporting blockchain-based app development projects.
All about the Lisk Accelerator Program
The goal of the Lisk Accelerator Program is to attract seasoned developers and project leaders to develop their concepts within the Lisk ecosystem. Applications for the first round of applications for the two-part program are currently being accepted and will go from March 20th, 2023, to June 30th, 2023. The second phase will run from September 1st, 2023, to November 30th, 2023.
The program will award grants of up to 250,000 CHF ($270K) per project to help fund the development of web3 solutions. In addition, projects that successfully bring their product to market will keep all of the equity they raise, sharing in the rewards of their efforts to spur innovation within Lisk’s growing web3 ecosystem.
There are four levels of financing:
- Bootstrap Grant: Startups without a working proof of concept built with the Lisk SDK can receive a 4,000 CHF “Bootstrap Grant” to help them build one and therefore qualify for the accelerator.
- Builder Grants: Tokenomics experts, the Lisk ecosystem team, and the knowledge bases, founders’ network, and other resources are all at the disposal of developers who receive the Builder Grant and use them to build a web3 application. Projects under this category will receive a grant of 65,000 CHF.
- Booster Grant: By passing the testnet phase, applicants for the Booster Grant may get up to 85,000 CHF in funding. In addition, they will get access to resources like advice on user experience and interface design, investor pitch preparation, and one-on-one mentorship.
- Breakout Grant: With the Breakout Grant, projects which have released their app, proven product/market fit, and are ready to scale can receive an additional CHF 100,000 to help them do so.
