    Summary:
  • The Ethereum Developer Conference brings together Ethereum's developer community and it will proceed the Korea Blockchain Week, 2023.

Vitalik Buterin, the Ethereum co-founder will be the keynote speaker during this year’s Ethcon Korea 2023. This year marks the return of the Ethereum Developer Conference, an annual event hosted by the Ethereum Foundation to foster collaboration among Ethereum’s top developers.

Buterin is expected to discuss the most recent developments in the Ethereum project and its future plans. Since its inaugural year in 2019, the Ethereum Foundation has provided financial backing for Ethcon, recognising the conference’s value in spreading information among the developer community.

Developer-focused conference

The event will take place at Platz2 (2), a centrally located coworking space in Seoul that is both comfortable and spacious. The event, which will last three days from September 1 to 3, 2023, will come just before the highly anticipated Korea Blockchain Week 2023. The latter is a Web3 conference organised by FactBlock and Hashed and it will run from September 4 to 10, 2023.

Developers from all over the world, including those based in South Korea, will be the main attraction at Ethcon Korea 2023. They will present innovative research findings and exciting new projects designed to further Ethereum and the Web3 community. In addition, over the course of the event’s three days, talented developers will come together to collaborate on fascinating new projects and research, which they will then get the chance to exhibit at a live-streamed demo day.

As a non-profit event, Ethcon relies on the generosity of the Foundation to help ensure that it can continue to serve as Korea’s preeminent developer conference. This is made possible by the many hours of work donated by community members from all around the country.

Submissions for proposals and panels for Ethcon Korea are being accepted until July 18. The conference’s organisers are looking to attract a wide range of participants, from seasoned researchers to up-and-coming developers, with the primary purpose of facilitating the exchange of practical knowledge.
