- Summary:
- The grant fund aims to advance the development of next-generation non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on Unique Network.
Polkadot-based blockchain Unique Network, a platform focused on NFTs, announced the launch of a $250,000 grant fund to boost the development and creation of NFT assets on the platform. The NFTs 2.0 CodeCraft Grant Fund is aimed at enticing developers, designers and NFT enthusiasts to build the next generation of NFTs. Adding to the grant, Amazon Web Services (AWS) also announced they will be awarding grant participants with AWS Activate credits, coming to a total of $100,000.
Developers from around the world are invited to participate in the grant, allowing them to explore the vast potential of advanced NFTs. While NFTs have been stuck in the JPEG era, Unique Network aims to kickstart a new era (NFTs 2.0) via the grant, with participants invited to create customizable and utility-driven solutions using NFTs.
“NFTs have a long way to go. The first wave was driven by speculative jpegs, but it is the powerful NFT utility tools that will lead the Next in NFTs. At Unique Network we already delivered these capabilities in the last year, and now we are seeing deep interest from the most innovative founders,” said Alexander Mitrovich, CEO of Unique Network.
In addition to creating advanced NFTs, participants in the grant fund will also gain valuable insights into various types of cutting-edge NFTs supported by Unique Network, including Customizable NFTs, Composable NFTs, Nested NFTs, Dynamic NFTs, Multi-asset NFTs, and Multi-resource NFTs.
This is expected to drive forward the creation of micro-DApps and exciting new blockchain capabilities that drive the future of the space, Mitrovich explained.
“To deliver NFTs 2.0 to end-user communities we have launched this fund with a very specific focus on enhancing NFTs via micro dApps or blockchain features,” he said.
To kickstart the campaign, Unique Network announced the first two grant winners building on its platform – DED Games and MusicMoon (formerly LoopNFT).
According to a team member from DED Games, the project will use the funds to extend development on its NFT-powered gaming platform, implementing Unique Network’s advanced and customizable NFTs to revolutionize gaming experiences. On the other hand, MusicMoon, a platform that aims to revolutionize music royalties via blockchain and NFTs, will use the funds to empower artists on the platform and help them retain control over their music rights.
“This grant from Unique Network is not just funding; it’s a catalyst propelling MusicMoon to revolutionize how artists create, share, and monetize their music, ensuring they retain rights and foster direct connections with their audience through blockchain technology,” stated Joesp Gracés, Founder of Music Moon.
To participate in the grant fund, developers and designers need to submit an application to Unique Network and join their developer Telegram channel. Unique Network will be announcing winners of the grant fund via their social channels.
