    Summary:
  • This years forum is the 44th annual Tulane Business Forum, and will be hosted by the 25k member-strong Tulane Association of Business Alumni.

The 44th annual Tulane Business Form will take place at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Hosted by the Tulane Association of Business Alumni (TABA), the forum is based on the theme “Winning Strategies: Louisiana’s Next Generation Economy” and will be held on September 15.

Tulane Association of Business Alumni (TABA) is a large association with a membership of more than 25,000 graduates of Tulane University’s A. B. Freeman School of Business. You can register for the forum online or at the door on the day of the event, and Tulane alumni get a special rate.

What to expect

More than a dozen speakers will be at this year’s forum, covering a wide range of issues from the energy transition and real estate development to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and changing dynamics in state and federal tax regulation. There will be a focus on essential industry indicators like those found in real estate and healthcare, as well as discussions on how to efficiently manage the energy transition.

In Louisiana’s traditional sectors like energy and healthcare as well as newer ones like real estate and gaming, forward-thinking companies are seizing new opportunities as they arise. The 44th annual Tulane Business Forum will feature a panel of successful businesspeople and academics discussing the state’s growing economy and the steps they are taking to ensure its continued success.

Some of the forward-thinking business leaders who are steering successful strategies for the future will be featured at this year’s event. In addition, two CEOs whose companies play crucial roles in the state’s economy will provide keynote addresses at this year’s forum. Dan Real, Chief Experience Officer, Caesars Digital, Caesars Entertainment Inc., will discuss the past, present and future economics of sports betting. On the other hand, Gregory C. Feirn, CEO of LCMC Health, will make a presentation on the evolving healthcare industry along with his plans for the future of the company.

A number of continuing education credits are also available through the forum. 5 CPE credit are available for accountants, 5 PDH credit for engineers, and 3.5 of general CLE credit for lawyers. Tulane Business Forum’s website has details on CEUs for those interested.

Historically, businesses such as oil and gas, healthcare, and the hospitality industry have fueled Louisiana’s economy. However, this is beginning to change as forward-thinking executives in the state embrace innovative strategies.
