Binance Coin
Binance coin is the native cryptocurrency associated with the Binance blockchain.
It trades with the BNB symbol. Changpeng Zhao founded it in July 2017.
Binance was designed as a utility token that offers discounted trading fees. Still, its use cases have since expanded to include other applications like financial services and travel bookings, among others.
Interestingly, Binance uses one-fifth of its profits each quarter to repurchase and then destroy or ‘burn’ coins held in its treasury to increase BNB’s scarcity and value. BNB is the fourth largest cryptocurrency by valuation as of August 2021.
Is BNB a good investment?
With a valuation of $51.08B, it’s good to look into investing in BNB, mainly because it is a top utility token with multiple advantages over other digital coins.
It is imperative to note that BNB is a high-risk, high reward type of investment, so do your research and proceed with caution if you want to invest in BNB.
How to trade BNB
To trade BNB, you need to open an online trading account, which you can easily do on the main page of the Binance platform, after which you should make a deposit to fund the account.
Once you have funded the account, you can find the BNB coin under the products page and buy it. You can then store your BNB on the Binance exchange or on an external wallet for better security. The platform charges a small withdrawal fee when withdrawing your BNB.
