TON Foundation to Collaborate With Mantle Network to Advance EVM-Compatible L2 Solutions

The Open Network Foundation (TON Foundation) has formed a partnership with Mantle Network, an industry-leading provider of Layer 2 solutions for the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). The partnership will see Mantle Network become TON Foundation’s primary ally in TON’s efforts towards expanding interoperable EVM-compatible Layer 2 blockchain capabilities.

What to expect from the partnership

Mantle Network and TON Foundation say that working together will help synergise each party’s strengths, resulting in maximum advantage for both parties. The two entities will work closely to realise TON Foundation’s user-centric vision of an interoperable multichain future by expanding EVM-compatible Layer 2 blockchain capabilities on TON Network.

Token integration is one of the first steps taken by TON and Mantle. STON.fi, a cross-chain decentralised exchange (DEX), now supports trading and liquidity provision using $jMNT, a wrapped version of $MNT, Mantle Network’s native token. The creation of the wrapped token ensures smooth interactions across Mantle and TON ecosystems. Additionally, the introduction of $jMNT enhances access to fluid and expansive trading opportunities between the networks.

However, there’s more beyond token integration. TON and Mantle Network have also established a framework for fusing interactions between their respective communities. The two entities have agreed to use @community_bot, a Telegram-native toolset for communities, as a communication and learning hub for users in both ecosystems.

Through this initiative, members of the Mantle and Mantle Ecosystem Telegram channels will have a common hub for interaction, while leveraging TON’s expansive Telegram community.
