The OKX exchange has partnered with The Bitcoin Collective to hold the UK’s inaugural global Bitcoin conference. The conference’s goal is to spread knowledge and spark innovation in the financial and technical sectors throughout the United Kingdom. This year’s event will take place on October 21 and 22 in Edinburgh’s Assembly Rooms. While OKX has a global network of experts, they’re using it to help the UK’s Bitcoin community.

The first of many events by The Bitcoin Collective

This year’s conference is the first of many series aiming to educate the general public about sound money principles and relevant macroeconomic theory. There will be sessions on the history of Bitcoin, the Bitcoin Network, the blockchain, Bitcoin’s role as a safe haven for value, and Bitcoin’s future. Furthermore, the conference focuses primarily on the Bitcoin market, not the broader cryptocurrency industry.

Authors, specialists, and visionaries from around the world will gather in Edinburgh for the conference. The event is expected to draw an audience of 800 people. At the conference, attendees will help educate and inspire the future generation of Bitcoin developers and businesses. The event aims to distinguish between Bitcoin and crypto to educate the public on the sound money concepts of Bitcoin. On top of that, it hopes to include as many different people as possible, both on and off stage.

Founded by Jordan Walker, Jim Duffy, and Lucy-Rose Walker, the Bitcoin Collective’s goal is to foster a community where people can talk openly and honestly about Bitcoin’s great potential. The Collective intends to organize thought-provoking Bitcoin Conferences throughout the United Kingdom. In addition, the organizers plan to promote local Bitcoin groups in towns and cities around the United Kingdom. Ultimately, the aim is to demystify Bitcoin, increase awareness of its use cases and spread knowledge about the opportunities it presents.
