Yield Guild Games (YGG) SEA has teamed with Solana Ventures, the investment arm of Solana Labs, to help grow the platform’s subDAO operations in Southeast Asia. Solana and YGG SEA will work together to establish training programs for building projects on the Solana blockchain, according to the agreement. As part of the Solana ecosystem, game developer studios will be able to tap into Solana’s engineering capabilities to help YGG SEA launch new titles.
YGG SEA aims to leverage Solana’s capabilities to expand its reach among South East Asia’s 225 million gaming and e-sports fans. Also, Scholars at YGG SEA will have access to an increasing variety of popular games made on the Solana platform. The subdDAO aims to deliver the most entertaining and engaging games to the region. Also, it aims to assist local players to reap the rewards of the P2E game model.
It’s worth noting that South East Asia is a hotbed for the expansion of the blockchain gaming sector. Therefore, Solana has also been eager to create a solid foothold in this area. In order to achieve this goal, Solana’s relationship with YGG SEA is a key step. Solana Ventures has co-led the $500,000 private financing round.
“The new partnership with Solana Ventures will give YGG SEA an incredible boost and help us offer the best resources to players and developers in Southeast Asia as we continue to serve the needs of the region’s gamer communities,” said Evan Spytma, CEO and Co-Founder of YGG SEA.
Solana Ventures is the investment arm of Solana Labs, one of the leading blockchain networks in the world. Its goal is to help the Solana blockchain and related ecosystems expand faster by investing in the most promising projects.
A subsidiary of Yield Guild Games (YGG), YGG SEA is the Philippines-based company’s first subDAO. When it comes to metaverse-related NFTs, it is a force to reckon with in the market. Its goal is to build Southeast Asia’s most robust and scalable play-to-earn virtual economy. It’s not just about bringing gamers into the fold as scholars; it’s also about bringing the Web2 community into the Web3 environment via GameFi.
