Most people looking for Pi Coin price prediction are current crypto holders. Unfortunately, the project is yet to launch its mainnet. Therefore, most holders do not know what value it is worth today.

However, that has not stopped people from continuing to amass Pi Coins. One of the reasons why Pi Coin has become attractive to investors has been due to people’s ability to mine through the phone. Today, the project continues to enjoy more than 30 million active users. It also continues to attract more users due to its popularity in emerging markets.

According to a recent report on TechCabal, the Pi Coin network is trending in Nigeria. Users cite unverifiable reports that users in China had started exchanging their cryptos with cars and mobile phones. Therefore, these new investors were also looking to strike it rich like their counterparts in China, who were now benefitting from the crypto.

Although it is highly false that Pi Coin is being exchanged for cars and mobile phones, such misinformation, combined with social media marketing, has contributed to the current growth of Pi Coin despite it not being launched in any exchange platform.

Is Pi Coin likely to be launched?

Today, there is no information on when the project will be launched. Therefore, it is hard for us to speculate on that. However, early this year, there were credible reports that Pi Coin would be launched in the second half of this year. Almost three-quarters done with the year, these reports have faded, and we will likely not see a Pi Coin mainnet before the end of the year.

Also, if the project will ever be launched, there is a high likelihood that it will quickly plummet. Today, there are millions of holders of cryptocurrency. Due to its huge supply in the market, most of its users will be looking to offload their digital assets once it launches. Therefore, it will quickly lose value and possibly never recover to its launch-date price high.
