- Summary:
- NodeRun will prioritise projects on the Cosmos ecosystem, but will still yet projects with proven innovativeness and good growthn prospects.
NodeRun, a blockchain infrastructure service provider, has launched Quick Grants, the first programme of its kind that supports blockchain-based community initiatives. The program’s goal is to hasten ecosystem development by streamlining the process by which innovative communities may obtain the seed money they need to get their idea off the ground.Quick Grant recipients will receive 10% of the validator rewards collected by NodeRun.
Half of the nodes in NodeRun are in the Cosmos ecosystem, hence projects on this ecosystem will be the primary focus of Quick Grants. However, Quick Grant applications from any ecosystem with a truly innovative project will still be accepted by NodeRun.
NodeRun’s strategy for implementing Quick Grants
NodeRun was originally built as a part of Node.Capital, but it has now spun off into its own company, servicing a variety of partners in addition to its own delegation nodes. Axelar, Stride, Polygon, Ethereum, Lava, Arbitrum, Fantom, Avalanche, and Kava are some of the networks that NodeRun is compatible with.
Quick Grant funding has been used to incubate the first programme using the Axelar cross-chain communication protocol. ONS.gg has received funding to develop an interchain ENS network. The ONS.gg team has received 5,000 AXL tokens in order to advance the development of their solution.
When setting up a network, NodeRun will be there to help by operating testnet nodes and contributing to technical documentation. After the network is fully operational, a portion of the validator costs will be redistributed to the ecosystem via Quick Grants.
NodeRun supports 13 different PoS chains, but the Cosmos ecosystem is where its true value lies. DeFi creators, VC firms, and other organisations all use their node service. NodeRun not only offers node and validator services but also takes part in testnets, governance, and documentation for the networks as they are being deployed.
NodeRun, as a community-focused service, aspires to provide both technical and financial support to the blockchain ecosystems in which it participates. It is able to actively promote new initiatives because to the commission payments it gets from providing validator services. Quick Grants will provide the boost that small teams in need of funding need to take their brilliant ideas and transform them into workable projects.
Node Capital founder Amos Meiri said: “We’re happy to have supported and incubated the development of NodeRun. Today, NodeRun supports many of our investments such as Lava, Stride, and Axelar, providing maximum uptime, performance, and excellent support.”
