More than a hundred works, both digital and real, will be on display at Babylon x NYC, an exhibition hosted by the Web3 gallery that specializes in primary sales of NFT editions, Babylon. On April 12-13, 2023, the exhibition will go down in the Big Apple. Furthermore, the public exhibition Babylon x NYC is already selling tickets.
Paruyr Shahbazyan, a leading figure in the independent NFT collecting community, started Babylon as a hobby. The Web3 gallery is a collaboration of Founding Artists and collectors that focuses on the major market for NFT editions. It is estimated that Shahbazyan’s collection is worth about 4,000 ETH. Pieces like the 3D Glass Hoodie Punk, Spiral Fidenza, and Red Ringer are among the most prized in the collection.
Thirty of the most influential names in the NFT art scene are behind the project, and their work will be on display at the Babylon Art Exhibition. The exhibition also features a selection of works by the renowned Armenian artist Tigran Tsitoghdzyan. The first public showing of the artist’s Ethereum drop will take place on Babylon. Moreover, Babylon creator Paruyr Shahbazyan’s private collection will be on display.
Babylon’s artist roster is one to be envied. The project features accomplished artists like Rik Oostenbroek, who has collaborated with the likes of Mercedes-Benz, Apple, and Nike over the course of his 20-year career; Archan Nair, whose work has been featured in Rolling Stone and Vogue; and Terrell Jones, whose gangster film-inspired pieces have been auctioned at Sotheby’s.
In order to make the art world more accessible to more people, Babylon is introducing new sales methods centred on editions. On April 12, the Babylon team and Founding Artists will present the newest NFT platform, which will serve as the permanent home of NFT Editions.
