Crispus Nyaga Market Analyst (Writer)

Mainnet Summit, a gathering of the biggest players in cryptocurrencies, will kick off on Wednesday and conclude on Friday this week. The event will take place in New York and will be hosted by Messari, a leading data analytics company in the industry.

Key speakers at Mainnet

Mainnet’s goal is to connect leading players in the cryptocurrency industry. The three-day event will have key people such as the founders of Solana, Evmos, dYdX, Ripple, Coinbase, Cardano, and Celo among others.

It is also expected that over 4,000 people will visit the event, making it one of the biggest cryptocurrency gatherings this year.

There will be several sections in the agenda. The first key panel will deliberate on the recent crash of centralized finance (CeFi) platforms like Voyager Digital and Celsius. The panelists will be from Apollo Global, Uniswap, and ErisX. Another panel will be about how DAOs and Web3 platforms were changing the workplace.

In between panels, there will be several keynote speeches. The most notable ones will be by Changpeng Zhao of Binance, Kain Warwick of Synthetix, Anatoly Yakovenko of Solana, and Illia Polosukhin of NAR Protocol.

Mainnet has been sponsored well. The leading diamond sponsors are companies like Binance, Hedera, Crypto.com, Bullish, Ripple, Tron, and Ankr among others.

Sponsorship is not cheap. According to its prospectus, diamond sponsors like BNB Chain and Soma Finance paid $130,000 while platinum, gold, silver, and bronze sponsors paid $100k, $75k, and $15,000, respectively.

The Mainnet Summit comes a few days ahead of Chainlink’s SmartCon Conference that will take place in New York. Some of the most notable speakers at the SmartCon Summit will be Eric Schmidt, Sergey Nazarov, Sam Bankman, and Kain Warwick.
