Lumia, the zkEVM Layer 2 network, has announced its HyperNodes sale. Nodes are now on sale at node.lumia.org, allowing the community to play their part in decentralizing the Layer 2 and support Lumia’s mission to transform onchain liquidity.

Developed in collaboration with Polygon and GatewayFM, Lumia leverages its unique Data Availability Committee (DAC) nodes, known as HyperNodes, to ensure unparalleled scalability, security, and compliance. Sandeep Nailwal also provided invaluable advice concerning the development of Lumia HyperNodes that shaped their architecture.

Polygon Founder Sandeep Nailwal said: “It has been extremely interesting to brainstorm the design space and come up with optimal architecture for Lumia’s upcoming validium with their tech team. I feel that a staked DAC secured validium that lumia is building using Polygon technology could fast become the industry standard for the projects to launch their chains.”

HyperNodes are integral to Lumia’s approach to data availability and liquidity management. By employing DAC nodes, Lumia addresses critical challenges in the blockchain space, ensuring that transaction data is securely stored and readily accessible while maintaining compliance with various jurisdictions to aid its efforts to onboard RWA assets. This decentralized network of nodes mitigates risks associated with data loss or manipulation, setting a new standard for blockchain integrity.

HyperNodes operators earn real yield through trading fees and verifying transaction data which defines the state of the chain, thus maintaining its integrity. They can also earn other revenue streams, creating a direct financial incentive for active participation and contribution to the network.

Lumia HyperNodes ensure fast data availability confirmations through reliance on a smaller, permissioned group of nodes. They also provide better cost predictability for better resource allocation. Tailored security measures and flexible governance, meanwhile, have been specified to meet the unique demands of zkEVM infrastructure.

Lumia’s HyperNodes sale represents a significant opportunity for investors and blockchain enthusiasts to participate in a decentralized, secure, and efficient ecosystem. By leveraging advanced cryptographic techniques, a private DAC network, and a decentralized data availability layer with NearDA, Lumia is poised to lead the next wave of innovation in blockchain technology.
