- Chainbase’s crypto world model Theia is now being trained on io.net’s distributed network, known as the Internet of GPUs (IOG).
Decentralized compute network io.net has announced a strategic partnership with Chainbase, the AI-specialized omnichain data network.
Several synergies are being actively explored by the pair, who share the aim of advancing AI modeling and building a powerful decentralized AI and data stack.
Chainbase’s crypto world model Theia is now being trained on io.net’s distributed network, known as the Internet of GPUs (IOG). AI agents built on Theia – designed to learn blockchain data and realize simulation and reasoning of the native blockchain environment – can understand, predict, and interact with distributed ledgers.
By significantly expanding the data volume used to train Theia, io.net and Chainbase aim to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the crypto world model. Theia plays a vital role in supporting a range of crypto native applications, including AI-powered Web3 games, decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms, security protocols, social networks, and asset management tools. In addition to this collaboration, io.net will facilitate the integration of Chainbase’s omnichain data network into its ecosystem AI projects, further strengthening the development of a decentralized AI and data stack.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Chainbase, a company and team that shares our vision of democratizing access to next-gen AI and blockchain technologies,” said Tory Green, Co-founder of io.net.
“As well as strengthening our network, this partnership will accelerate the integration of decentralized AI and data solutions across multiple industries. We are looking forward to supporting Chainbase’s product and token through our IOG and community going forward.”
“Partnering with io.net is a major milestone for Chainbase as we continue to scale our AI-specialized network,” added Chris Feng, Co-founder and COO of Chainbase. “By leveraging IOG’s scalable virtual clusters of GPU resources, I am confident that we can turbo-charge the efficiency and scalability of our AI-driven solutions.”
In addition to their work on Theia, the partners’ engineering teams are working closely to support Chainbase’s rapid development ahead of its network token ($CBT) launch later this year. Eligible $IO Workers with staked $IO will gain the opportunity to participate in this launch, further aligning the networks’ growth trajectories.
About io.net
io.net deploys and manages on-demand, decentralized GPU clusters in the IO Network. IO Network is a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) of geo-distributed GPUs from multiple sources. Hundreds of thousands of GPUs are accessible today in IO Network, and this Internet of GPUs is specifically architected for low latency, high processing demand use cases like AI/ML ops and cloud gaming. io.net democratizes access to GPU compute capacity while reducing costs, expediting lead times, and expanding choice for engineers and businesses. Access compute capacity for a fraction of the cost or become a capacity supplier at https://www.io.net.
