Harris and Trotter Digital Assets, a London-based, global-serving cryptocurrency accountancy firm, has finalized a $10 million funding round, marking a significant stride towards tackling a problem that all Web3 projects face: accounting. Orbs led the round, which included investments from Kingsway Capital, RE7 Capital, and other prominent individuals from the Web3 community. The funding was structured as a priced equity round, valuing Harris and Trotter Digital Assets at $85 million.
The Harris and Trotter Digital Asset executive team draws on a wealth of experience from alums at major accountancy firms, including PwC, KPMG, Deloitte, EY, and BDO. The entire team totals over 45 members.
“Digital Assets is a rapidly evolving technological space whose needs can only be met by an equally technologically enabled professional services firm. This strategic investment aligns us with some of the largest movers and shakers in this industry, which allows us to grow our technological arm further as we release our growing suite of SAAS products and services,” said CEO Nicholas Newman.
This investment will further fuel their rapid growth, expanding on their current circa 500 crypto-native clients. In addition, the strategic investment will bring a deeper technological focus to the digital asset professional services firm as it looks to increase its SAAS revenue and competitive edge.
“Harris and Trotter Digital Assets continue to combine their expertise with blockchain-powered technology” said Ran Hammer, VP of Business Development at Orbs. “The team now looks to operate on the cutting edge of financial technology, delivering tools such as proof of reserves. This is particularly interesting as it’s where Orbs’ technology could be leveraged to ensure all data is trustworthy, accurate, and verifiable.”
