European traders today awaiting the German Gfk Consumer Confidence Survey which will be released at 06:00GMT. The Swiss ZEW Survey will be published at 08:00GMT while the UK BBA Mortgage Approvals data will be released at 08:30GMT.
The Bank of England’s Carney will testify on May inflation report before the UK Parliament’s Treasury Select Committee at 09:15GMT.
In the American calendar we have the key US Durable Goods Orders and Goods Trade Balance data to be released at 12:30GMT. Analysts expect Durable Goods to increase by 0.2% in May after falling 2.1% in April. Crude oil traders will closely watch the US Energy Information Administration weekly crude stockpiles data published at 14:30GMT as the crude oil price trades above $59 per barrel.
In Central Bank calendar Fed member Daly will deliver a speech and investors will be searching for fresh clues on the next US interest rates move. Earlier today the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) kept interest rates unchanged at 1.50% as widely expected.
