The trading calendar starts for EURGBP traders with France July consumer spending data and France Q2 final GDP figures due at 6:45GMT. At 7:00GMT will be released the Spain August preliminary CPI figures while Germany August unemployment change, rate is due at 7:55GMT. Eurozone August final consumer confidence and Eurozone August economic, business, industrial, services confidence due at 9:00GMT while at 12:00GMT the Germany August preliminary CPI figures will be released.
In the US calendar the GDP reading will be released at 12:30 along with Goods Trade Balance and Initial Jobless Claims, while the pending home sales will cross the wires at 14:00
In Asian trading session the New Zealand ANZ Business Confidence came in -52.3 in August vs previous -44.3 reading, the ANZ Activity Outlook declined to -0.5% in August from previous 5%. Australia Private Capital Expenditure came in at -0.5%, below forecasts of 0.5% in 2Q. Japan Consumer Confidence Index came in at 37.1 for August versus previous 37.8 reading.
The central bank of China set the Yuan rate (USDCNY) at 7.0858 at the lowest level in 11 years, versus yesterday fix at 7.0835.
Asian indices trading lower today after Wall Street indices ended higher. EURUSD is trading 0.07% higher at 1.1084, the USDJPY is 0.31% lower at 105.88 while the AUDUSD is 0.16% lower at 0.6723.
