FOREX CALENDAR
In our trading calendar during the European session, we have the Germany August trade balance data at 6:00GMT. France August industrial and manufacturing production will be released at 6:45GMT. EURGBP traders await the UK August monthly GDP data, UK August manufacturing, industrial, construction output and UK August trade balance data all to be released at 8:30GMT. The ECB releases the account of its September meeting at 11:30GMT.
In American forex calendar investors await the CPI m/m and the Core CPI m/m at 12:30GMT, Initial Jobless Claims and Continuing Jobless Claims also to be released at 12:30GMT. The New Housing Price Index m/m is the main event for Canada today due at 12:30GMT.
In our central bank calendar, BoE Governor Carney will deliver a speech at 9:20. The Bank of Mexico Monetary Policy Meeting Minutes will be released at 15:00.
Asian indices are trading lower today; Nikkei is 0.63% lower at 21,458. EURUSD trades 0.13% higher at 1.0985; the USDJPY is 0.02% higher at 107.49 while the AUDUSD is 0.32% higher at 0.6745.
The central bank of China set the Yuan rate (USDCNY) at 7.0730 versus yesterday settlement at 7.028.
Trade tensions between China and US and political turbulence in Capitol Hill will continue to have a significant impact on forex markets. Brexit developments will be the main force that drives Pound.
