European calendar starts with the Switzerland September producer and import prices due at 6:30GMT. The France September final CPI figures will be released at 6:45GMT. Pound traders await the UK August average weekly earnings at 8:30GMT, along with UK August ILO unemployment rate and the UK September jobless claims change, claimant count rate. Germany October ZEW survey current situation and expectations will be out at 9:00GMT.
In North America forex calendar the NY Fed Empire State Manufacturing Index due at 12:30GMT.
In our central bank calendar the BoE MPC Member Vlieghe will speak at 12:30GMT.
In Asian trading session, Japan Industrial Production (YoY) came in at -4.7% in line with forecasts for August. The Australian weekly consumer confidence came in at 110.9 previous reading was at 112.3.
Asian indices are trading higher today; Nikkei is 1.90% higher at 22,212, Hang Seng is 0.26% lower at 26,453. EURUSD trades 0.06% higher at 1.1032; the USDJPY is 0.06% lower at 108.33 while the AUDUSD is 0.01% lower at 0.6775.
The central bank of China set the Yuan rate (USDCNY) at 7.0708 versus yesterday settlement at 7.0725.
