EURUSD traders await today the Germany July industrial production data due at 6:00GMT followed by France July trade balance data at 6:45GMT. The Switzerland August foreign currency reserves balance will be released at 7:00GMT. Sterling traders will follow the UK Halifax August house prices data due at 7:30GMT while the BOE releases latest consumer inflation expectations survey results at 8:30GMT. Finally at 9:00GMT will be released the Eurozone Q2 final GDP figures.

In North America forex calendar we have the Nonfarm Payrolls at 15:30 along with Average Hourly Earnings m/m and Private Nonfarm Payrolls. In Canada we expect the Employment Change and Unemployment Rate due at 15:30. Ivey PMI will be released at 17:00.

Fed Chair Powell will deliver a speech at 19:30 while half hour later oil traders will focus on Baker Hughes US Oil Rig Count.

Japan Leading Economic Index came in at 93.6 in July from previous 93.3

Asian indices trading higher today, with Nikkei outperforming it’s peers. EURUSD trades 0.07% higher at 1.1041, the USDJPY is 0.06% higher at 106.98 while the AUDUSD is 0.07% higher at 0.6819.

The central bank of China set the Yuan rate (USDCNY) at 7.0855 at the lowest level in 11 years, versus yesterday fix at 7.0852.
