Haas, the American Formula 1 team, has a new partner as the sports continued to gain more popularity. The team will partner with Hantec Markets, a leading forex, and CFD broker.
Haas and Hantec Markets partnership
Formula 1 has been gaining popularity around the world. Indeed, according to Liberty Media, the number of people watching its events has soared to a record high. This growth is mostly because of Drive to Survive, the highly popular Netflix series.
As a result, many companies have moved to partner with both Formula 1 and its respective teams. Some of the most notable firms are Crypto.com, Salesforce, Tezos, and Oracle among others.
Haas has been making steady improvements in the current season. The team ranks at position 7 with 34 points. It has beaten teams like Alphatauri, Aston Martin, and Williams. This is a major improvement since the team ended most of the past seasons without any points.
Haas has been in trouble after it ended its contract with UralKali, a fertilizer company owned by a Russian oligarch. As a result, it has spent most of the season without having a substantial sponsor.
In a statement this week, Haas said that it had partnered with Hantec Markets, a company that operates in the forex and CFD industry. The company’s logo will feature prominently in the company’s cars and other places like racing suits and garages. The value of the partnership was not mentioned although the company said that it was a multi-million pound one. It will run through the 2023 Formula 1 season.
Brand visibility
Hantec Markets hopes to use the partnership to grow its brand around the world. In a statement, the company’s Chief Operating Officer said:
“Hantec Markets shares this ethos and has embroidered the same in tailoring our services to our client’s needs. We strive to provide an unrivaled trading experience to our customers, with the same attention to detail and service that Guenther and the entire team brings to each race.”
Hantec Markets joins several other brands that have a partnership with Haas. Some of the others are 1&1, a leading website hosting company, Pirelli, and TransferMate.
Other financial services companies have sponsored Formula 1 teams as well. FxPro has a long-running partnership with McLaren. Similarly, FTX has a deal with Mercedes while OKX has a marketing deal with McClaren.
