  • Fast-rising crypto exchange, Bybit has introduced options trading to its offerings. What does this mean for its users?

Bybit exchange has joined the league of exchange platforms offering options trading. The new product offering came as a result of strong demand shown by the platform’s user feedback. Bybit has been offering expiration and perpetual futures until now. Therefore, the options feature will likely attract more users to the platform. Specifically, Bybit’s options and tradable in USDC, similar to perpetual futures. Furthermore, users can utilize portfolio margin, an inherently risk-based trading model, which can also be highly profitable.

Unlike futures trading, options trading gives users greater freedom because they are not obliged to exercise their right to buy or sell. Therefore, if the future price of crypto does not favour a user, they may choose not to buy or sell. Furthermore, Bybit’s introduction of options trading comes with an intuitive user interface, complete with support for API integration and European-style linear trading.

With options trading, Bybit users can now speculate on the future prices of their favourite crypto assets without the risk that comes with futures trading.
