    Summary:
  • aelf is targeting gaming studios and has lined up support from technological and business development front, in addition to funding support.

aelf, a layer-1 blockchain for decentralised apps, has introduced aelevate, a programme that will help Web2 gaming studios easily adapt to Web3.  According to the aelf team, successful applicants will have access to the expertise of aelf’s ecosystem partners and network in areas, including blockchain technology, interoperability, user acquisition and retention, game publishing, cloud, and artificial intelligence.

What Aelevate entails and how to apply

Aelevate is an innovative programme designed by aelf to help Web2 gaming developers make a smooth transition to the Web3 era. The current uncertainties in the crypto market makes it difficult for companies to confidently incorporate blockchain technology into their games, and this is what the initiative seeks to address. aelf is currently accepting applications for the aelevate programme and it will receive them through September 30, 2023. The first Aelevate grants will be distributed in the autumn of 2023.

Aelevate was designed to pave the way for expansion in Web gaming by providing participating studios with funding, as well as technological and business support, to help them get a running start in this new frontier.  Aelevate will provide grants of up to US$150,000 per studio to help developers in integrating, building, and launching their games on the aelf network, all in an effort to facilitate the transfer of studios and the development of blockchain games.

Successful candidates of aelevate, which is available to all game developers regardless of expertise level, will receive comprehensive assistance across two main domains:

  • Technological Ecosystem: By integrating assets, tokenizing them, and creating smart contracts and side-chains, developers will be given the technological resources they need to update and transition to a blockchain-enabled game industry. In addition, aelf’s ecosystem will provide developers with access to a number of dApps, such as Portkey, aelf’s native contract account (CA) wallet; eBridge, aelf’s cross-chain bridge; and Forest, aelf’s NFT marketplace. Using the on-off ramp solutions provided by aelf, developers can incorporate fiat-to-cryptocurrency exchange functionality into their products. Developers across a variety of fields, including blockchain technology, interoperability, game publishing, the cloud, and artificial intelligence, can benefit from aelf’s ecosystem partners and network.
  • Business Ecosystem:  The program will offer mentorship on user acquisition, go-to-market strategies, and tokenization.  In addition, beneficiaries will get access to aelf’s venture capitalists and investor relations resources.
