- Summary:
- Binance is partnering with Kazakhstan in another move by the global digital assets giant to enhance blockchain and crypto knowledge.
Binance, in partnership with key Kazakh governmental agencies, has started a blockchain education initiative with the goal of reaching 40,000 individuals by 2026. The company has joined forces with the Center for the Development of Payment and Financial Technologies at the National Bank of Kazakhstan, Astana Hub, the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and the Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan to form the Blockchain Center.
Binance and its stake in blockchain education for Kazakhstan and beyond
This most recent effort originated from a meeting between Binance co-founder and CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) and Kazakhstan’s president, Mr. Tokaev, in May of this year. During the meeting, they discussed ways to collaborate on educating the public about blockchain technology. Binance, as per the terms of the agreement, will supply instructional resources and support to help universities create and implement a foundational educational program on blockchain and compliance.
Binance has been working hard to solidify its position in the Kazakh market. Kazakhstan’s AIFC Financial Services Authority (AFSA) presented Binance with a permanent license in October 2022, allowing the company to operate a digital asset platform and offer custody services within the Astana International Financial Center. The latest partnership builds on the success of the exchange in the country. As a result of this new collaboration, Kazakhstan will be among the first nations to incorporate blockchain fundamentals into its higher education system.
Binance has previously undertaken other educational endeavors in addition to this alliance. Currently, the company operates the open-access learning platform Binance Academy, where anybody may study at their own speed and even earn cryptocurrency for participating in the Learn and Earn program. Also, the Global University Outreach Program and the Student Ambassador Program are only two of the many educational initiatives that make up Binance’s online learning platform.
